The Winners of 2026 Sustainability Awards

“Recognition does not reduce the obligation. It increases it."

A Word from Our CEO

This year’s winners emerged from a broad and serious field of sustainability work. Their recognition should not be read as an endpoint. It should be read as a higher standard. Once something is recognized, more is expected from it: not only visibility, but substance; not only ambition, but proof in practice. That is why the work continues beyond the awards, and why we decided to develop the 369 Sustainability Decision Space."

This year’s awards in context
The ECU Sustainability Awards 2026 were shaped through the review of 150+ initiatives across retail, FMCG, and solution providers. The final winners emerged from a broad and diverse field of sustainability work. That process also made clear why a deeper framework was needed, and why we developed the 369 Sustainability Decision Space, presented below.

Beyond the winners
The awards are the visible outcome.
Behind them sits a deeper body of work: the 369 Sustainability Decision Space.

369 Sustainability Decision Space
An executive framework for understanding what makes sustainability action real, scalable, and workable in practice.

What it is

The 369 Sustainability Decision Space is a structured framework developed to clarify what makes sustainability action real, scalable, and workable in practice. Built from live industry discussion, internal analytical work, and concrete initiative cases across retail, FMCG, and solution providers, it is designed to distil the recurring tensions, blind spots, operating conditions, and action patterns that repeatedly shape whether sustainability work becomes useful in practice.

What happens next

In May, we will open the 369 Sustainability Decision Survey to a selected sustainability audience connected to the Summit. The input gathered there will help sharpen the first public version of the framework, which will be released in June.
